Throughout the years we have built up a sound reputation as one of the most entertaining halls at the University. This is due in part to the thriving international scene that can be found at both the University of Reading and at St George's Hall. Over the years St George's has been able to boast an array of nationalities occupying it's halls, with students hailing from as far as The Americas, China, Nigera, UAE, Malaysia and India to mention but a few; thus providing a truly diverse community.

We are closely affiliated with ISRU (Internation Students at Reading University) and receieve special discounts and preferences to their legendary events. Further to this, we regularly throw exclusing events, particulary for the international students residing at St George's. Be it a karaoke night or a pub crawl, it is sure to live long in the memory. St George's JCR - JCR of the year 2007/8.

A small note from your International Rep:

Hello, my name is Sam, I will be your international rep for 2008/2009. I represent all the foreign nationals residing at St George's and my job is to make your time here as memorable and hassle-free as possible. Leaving home for the first time might seem a daunting task, let alone settling into a foreign county with a different culture to your own. Thankfully, St George's has an excellent JCR who can help you along every step of the way. During fresher's week I will be visiting all the blocks and personally introducing myself, so, should you have any questions or simple need advice please don't hesitate to ask.

Throughout the year I will be organising themed events, especially for us internationals. We are always looking for fresh ideas, so, if you have any suggestions please let me know. You never know, we might be able to bring your culture to Reading for a night or two!
